r2b2 Lanyard Bead Black Ultem

The r2b2 is the next lanyard bead from Nice Guy Machine Co.  I'm always working on all kinds of projects, waiting for an "ah ha!" moment.  This includes several different lanyard beads.  In the case of the r2b2, this moment came when working on an SFK (single fingered knuck" called the checkmEight.  Incorporating the inset "bridge" I first utilized in the "Stubbs" pry bar into the checkmEight, I realized I could offset the bridge in order to make a new, two strand bead with a captive knot recess as is featured on the venerable BNo1 lanyard bead.  In my opinion I have created the perfect lanyard bead.  It is everything I want a lanyard bead to be: Durable, Non Marring, Minimal in appearance but complex in design & manufacturing.  It sets a new bar in every day carry in all of these respects.

• machined from Ultem Duration U1000 (made by Mitsubishi in Japan.
• dimensions .5" tall, .53" wide, .357" thick
• each hole is .15" wide at its smallest part of the opening
• each bead incudes one bead, 12" of 275# paracord, & one sticker
